Ironman 320e Elliptical Trainer
A Detailed Review of the Ironman 320 & Where To Find It At A Discount
Strengths:
Affordable - Price is the biggest pro to this elliptical. It's not easy to find a solid basic elliptical made by a good name for this price.
Magnetic Resistance - Magnetic resistance uses magnetic pull to create the resistance in your workout. This also makes for a very quiet workout. With 16 resistance levels including forward and back motions, you can add plenty of challenge to your workout.
Programmable EKG - To stay in your target heart rate zone simply grip the EKG hand grip pulse monitors on the hand rails. You'll get constant feed back on your heart rate from the LCD console
Solid Construction - The Ironman 320e comes with a solid steel frame (with a lifetime warranty) and sealed bearings. It can support user weights of up to 275 pounds.
Weaknesses:
Even though Ironman is a pretty good name, this is still a basic elliptical without a lot of bells and whistles or add-ons. The console is simplistic, without any built-in user programs. The stride length is 16" which isn't bad at this price point - but it could be better.
Don't expect the Ironman320 elliptical to give you the feel or workout advantages of a higher-grade unit. If you're looking for a more commercial feel without the commercial price tag, check out the Sole elliptical models.
Conclusion: Recommended
Although you don't get many bells and whistles with the Ironman 320e elliptical - what you do get is a fairly solid elliptical trainer for a budget price. This is definitely an economy elliptical and not recommended for the heavier, taller or more vigorous exerciser.
If you want more bells and whistles consider a similarly priced Proform or spending a bit more on your elliptical. But if you're on a strict budget and want a solid basic elliptical, you'll appreciate the Ironman 320.
Where To Buy At A Discount:
Although you'll probably pay upwards of about $700+ for this elliptical at a store, you can get it online at a discount
You can also sometimes get free shipping and save money on sales tax.
