New Balance 9.5e Elliptical
A Detailed Review of the New Balance 9.5e Elliptical Trainer
Strengths:
18" Stride - This is pretty good for an elliptical at this price point. Some weaker ellipticals will give you 14 - 15" stride lengths.
The larger stride length helps you work the full range of leg muscles and burn maximum calories. Although taller users may want to try a 20" stride found on Sole ellipticals, this is still a pretty decent stride length
4 User Profiles - This is a handy feature to have if more than one person will be using the elliptical. Up to 4 people can create and store their favorite workout
Oversized FootPedals - The Conform foot platforms have a skid-resistant surface and are oversized so you can find the most comfortable position for your feet while working out.
The Foot Pedals are also placed fairly close together which reduces strain on the hips, especially for smaller framed individuals.
Warranty - the warranty of 10 years on frame, 2 years on electronics and 1 year on parts is actually quite good considering the price point.
The brand is so new to the market, they really haven't had the time to work out the kinks in their product line yet.
There hasn't been time to build up any real customer reviews yet.
Bottom Line:
At this price point, the New Balance 9.5e elliptical trainer does give you fair value. You get an 18" stride, decent warranty, 16 levels of resistance and 15 built-in workouts.
However this model has been around for a while and many other brands have passed it in terms of better console options, longer stride length, and workout tools.
