Strengths:
2 Position Adjustable Stride - Adjusting the stride length of your elliptical allows you to work your muscles differently, which can help you achieve more definition faster. Strides can be adjusted from 12.5", to 17". However it is fair to note that unless you're under 5' 2", you'll probably find a 12.5" stride length to be way too short - and a bit frustrating.
EKG Grip Pulse Sensors - Stay in your target heart rate range and monitor your heart rate with the sensors built into the handlebars.
L.E.D. Pacing Coach - The light-line lets you know when it's time to work a little harder or slow down so you can get the most out of every workout.
Transport Wheels - These wheels on the bottom of the elliptical make it easy to move the elliptical around for storage or easier cleaning.
Weaknesses:
This is an economy elliptical so don't expect a commercial grade feel or construction of say, a Sole elliptical. The warranty is only 90 days - which tells you about the quality of parts.
And the user weight capacity is low at 250 pounds - it probably will not stand up too well under heavy, frequent use.
Summary:
If you're on a very strict budget and want one of the better machines under $400, you'll probably be happy with the Proform 825 elliptical. The 2 different stride lengths will accomodate users of various heights
Keep in mind that this is an economy elliptical and is not recommended for heavy use - especially with a low user weight capacity.
