2) iPod Docking Station with Console Speakers - You can plug in your iPod or Mp3 player and listen to your favorite workout music or audiobook while exercising. While this isn't a necessary feature to have, most people like it as it can make your workout go by faster.
3) Pivoting Foot Pedals Reduce Joint Stress and Post-Workout Pain - The pivoting pedals mimic the natural motion of your ankle and hold the proper alignment keeping your ankle, knee and hip from suffering impact.
This causes less stress on the joints and can help you avoid the muscle soreness and pain that you sometimes get with standard ellipticals that have fixed pedals This feature also makes for a smooth workout and is unique to Smooth ellipticals.
4) Wireless Heart Rate Control - This can help you maximize your workout time. You can set your target heart rate and put on the wireless heart-rate strap. The elliptical will then track your heart rate and adjust machine resistance to keep you in your target zone.
5) Roller-less Design for Quiet Workouts - You may notice that Smooth doesn't use rollers on their units as other brands do. This cuts down on the noise and is one of the reasons Smooth units are known for being so quiet.

Of special note is the 2 years on service. Since most ellipticals only give you 90 days to 1 year coverage on service, this is a great feature that can save you a lot of money should you have to service your elliptical in the future.
Weaknesses:
The adjustable motion on the CE 3.7 is a manual adjustment - unlike the higher end DMT (dynamic motion trainers) ellipticals which use automatic adjustment built into the arm bars. Also with the CE 3.7 you only get 3 different adjustable motions whereas with the other DMT models (DMT X1, DMT X2 and DMT) you get 12 levels of adjustable motion.
Summary: Highly Recommended
The CE 3.7 is one of Smooth's most affordable new ellipticals that incorporates 'dynamic motion' (different motions or stride lengths) into your training. With a range of 18 - 21" stride lengths, it helps to incorporate more muscle groups into your workout. It's also great for multiple user families as everyone can find the right stride for them.
And the strong construction backed by a long warranty (including an incredible 2 years on service) ensure that you're getting a machine that is built to last over the long term.
While it doesn't have the sophistication of the higher end DMT (dynamic motion) ellipticals, overall, it still gives you more elliptical options than many similarly priced ellipticals on the market. Great value.

1) 3 Different Adjustable Elliptical Motions With 18 - 21" Stride Lengths
Instead of just doing the same elliptical motion, you can choose from 3 different elliptical motions. The advantage to this is that you recruit more muscle groups (or work different sets of muscles) and can get a more effective, higher calorie-burning workout.
The other advantage to this is that since the stride lengths range from 18 - 21", anyone can find an elliptical motion that feels comfortable for them. This makes the CE 3.7 great for multiple users and/or families.
