Strengths:
1) 20" Stride Length
Stride is basically the furthest distance between the pedals during the elliptical motion. Many cheaper ellipticals offer stride lengths of only 14 or 16". The larger 20" stride works a larger range of leg muscles - so you burn more calories and get a more effective workout.
The longer stride also feels more comfortable - especially for taller users and those who really like to pick up the pace.
2) Rollerless Design
The Navarre elliptical trainers uses a rollerless design. This design cuts down on elliptical noise. Plus it also cuts down on maintenance (there are no rollers or tracks to get clogged with dust and dirt)
3) Pivoting Pedals
These follow the natural motion of your foot to give you a more comfortable workout. They can also help reduce joint stress and toe numbness that sometimes comes with fixed foot pedals on cheaper ellipticals.
The pedals are also spaced closer together which again feels more natural and reduces the strain at your hips.
4) 9 User Profiles
This is a great option if you have multiple users for the elliptical. You can store the information like weight, sex and height for up to 9 different users in the elliptical. So you can just call up the information when you start your workout instead of having to re-enter it all in over and over again. This information can also give you more accurate feedback (i.e. for the calories burned stats).
5) Blue Backlit Console
The console window is large, backlit and easy to read. There's also an iPod dock with speakers included with a shelf to store the iPod. So you can listen to your favorite tunes while working out.
6) Extra Long Warranty
The Navarre elliptical comes with an extra long warranty - lifetime on the frame and brakes, 5 years on parts and 2 years on labor. The extra year on labor is especially good since it can save you a lot of money should you need to use it.
Weaknesses:
You don't get the cardio-core arms on this elliptical as you do with other Yowza models like the Captiva elliptical. If you're looking for cardio-core arms at a similar price, you may want to check out the Bonita elliptical first.
