But how does it compare to other Schwinn elliptical trainers - the 420 and the new 460?
This article will outline the main differences between the Schwinn 430, 420 and 460 elliptical trainers so you can decide which option is best for you.
Schwinn 430 Vs the Schwinn 420
The 430 and 420 run around the same price - around $599 each.
They both have articulating foot plates, 18" strides and similar consoles.
The main difference is that the 420 is a bit sturdier with a heavier unit weight and higher user weight capacity (300 vs 275 lbs)
The 420 comes with a few more workout programs (12 vs 8).
The 430 comes with a water bottle holder vs teh 420 which does not. Also, the 420 is newer and will probably be around a lot longer than the 430 which Schwinn is discontinuing.
Schwinn 430 Vs the 460
The 460 is a few hundred more ($899 vs $599) and is a very different elliptical machine.
While the 430 has a standard 18" stride, the 460 uses a variable stride the runs from 2 to
28 inches.
It also has a backlit-LED screen which makes it easier to read your workout stats vs the non-backlit LED screen of the 430 elliptical.
Another difference is that the 460 elliptical has 16 workout programs vs 8 that the 430 carries. It also has more stability to it and a higher user weight capacity.
More on the Schwinn 430 elliptical trainer:
The 430 elliptical gives you a smooth elliptical ride, articulating footpad and quiet operation. It also has over 400 positive user reviews on Amazon which is amazing for a starter elliptical under $600.
However it's also fair to note that Schwinn is phasing out the 430 elliptical in favor of the newer models so its days are limited.
