A Review of the Trupace 250 Elliptical & Where To Buy It At A Discount

1)   Color Touch-Screen Console with 4 User Profiles

The console on the E250 is much better than the other Trupace models. It is backlit and full color. You can easily change settings and workouts with the touch of a button.   Plus there are 4 different user profiles. So everyone can plug in their information and the console remembers it at the start of your workout.

2) 18" Stride Length

Stride length is the furthest distance between the two elliptical foot pedals.

A wider stride length (18 - 20") ensures that you work your leg muscles more fully whereas a shorter stride length (14 - 16") won't give you an optimal workout (and may feel uncomfortable when you pickup the pace).

Most cheaper ellipticals carry a shorter 14 - 16" stride length so the 18" stride on the Trupace E250 is a great find.

3) Articulating Foot Pedals

The E250 comes built with articulating foot pedals - so the footpedal closely follows the action of your ankle while you workout. This can help lessen the strain and stress on your ankle joints and reduce soreness post-workout. Again, another feature that's usually found on $1000+ machines.

4) iPod Dock with Speakers

You can plug in your iPod or mp3 player and play your favorite workout tunes through the built-in console speakers.

5) 22 Built-in Workouts

If you like a workout challenge, the E250 comes with lots of built-in workout programs. There are manual, goal-based (time, distance and calories), preset programs, heart rate control and custom programs.

While the price is good - at this price point you do have several, more well-known name options. For example, Nordic Track usually has a few models at this price point and they may give you more for the money. Another one to conside is the Livestrong 8.0 which is also a well-rated machine with a longer 20" stride and manual incline.

The Trupace E250 elliptical offers a lot of great features for under $800 - including an articulating foot pedal for a more comfortable feeling ride and a wide 18" stride.

Compared to other Trupace models, you also get a longer warranty and an upgraded color touch-console.

However at this price point, there are some strong contenders out there like Nordic Track and Livestrong which may give you more for the money.
